So like what is with dad he is living it up with out me! Sounds like he is doing so much work dry walling and electrical. Sweet! Now start on the down stairs cuz I'm really looking forward to it been my man cave one day. but yeah so whats with the masarati ???? why did dad buy a viper? Like what a pimp. I saw the pic of kristy and ryan in the viper its so cute you can see his two teeth they look big but straight so thats good. We got are bikes on sat so now we can go rip it up. Should be fun. So this is going to be a busy week coming up. Wednesday we have interviews with pres. all the way in Nashaw its like an hour and a half away. Thursday we have zone conference with elder Nelson like can you say intense? I cant wait im saying the opening prayer at the conference so should be fun. Then friday we are going to the J. smith memorial in vermont with a investigator. They say that 95 % of investigators that go get baptized so I hope it goes well the guy is kinda nuts but like dad says it takes all kinds. Keene has all kinds let me tell you. There is the town drunk and the town huge huge fat man that sits on a bench with no shirt on all day every day and when ever we ask him anything all he says is " its hard to say" like hey fat man how are you doing ...... then he just says "hard to say " do you want to learn more about jesus ...... "hard to say" its so funny maybe ill try and get a video of it some times but like really is that what jesus would do ??? Its hard to say. ha ha. Oh yeah and then on sunday we have a baptism my first one! ha ha sweet cant wait. That mans name is Wayn June Guo. He is from china and loves the church so much but he is moving back next week so no more church for him. We are going to see if we can give him the priesthood before he leaves so that he can bless the sacrament at his own home in china but we are running in to some resistance. I'm hoping that works out. So like a tornado touched down 20 miles from us last night picked up some trees and dropped them on cars but thats it, no one was hurt or anything but its a big story around town. Oh so yesterday we had this inv. at church that had a cigarette in his ear and another with a ft long beard and hair down to his butt it was funny and they liked church so thats good. Everyone has a dog like everyone. There was this dog the other day that when he barked it shook the ground ( sorry if that twas a lame story ) ppl wanna know more about my comp. so his name is Elder Griffiths from fredonia arizona his birthday is some time in september so we are like the same age but he went in to the mtc on his birthday so he has been out like what 8 months .. ? I think he is kinda normal kinda weird but so am I right? We get along really well so I guess things are good. One thing that drives me nuts is he gets up 10 min yearly and dose pushups and he grunts soooo loud every time its kinda gross. Since I got to keene I wake up every morning to really loud gross grunting. its not how I had in mind of how I would like to get up every morning. Thats about all I can say bad about the guy so he is really good. So I dont know if its just keene but at the end of a lesson we ask ppl do you have any questions and they always want us to tell them what there dreams mean like I feel like Joseph. Any ways I'm having so much fun loving every second hope all is well at home love you all

May 31st 2010
hello ppl of the land northward.
what can I say... this week one of are investigator couples fell off the face of the earth... like we cant find them. So that sucks they had a baptism date but now who knows? The ward in keene is really cool they understand if missionary work stops there is not going to be anyone in the ward in 10 years so every one is a good member missionary. Our ward mission leader is the best man to walk the face of the earth. He is so righteous. Everyone here drives a Toyota Prius. the other day I counted 45 of them. Keene has a goal as a town to be the most healthy town in the USA. I think they are in like 4th right now. People are always running, biking, swimming and doing fun stuff we cant really do. So like we really need bikes. This guy from the ward says he has two for us but its been like 4 weeks and nothing sooooo that sucks. We walk a lot now. Well sorry my email was not as good today I'll work on it for next week and pictures are hard to send on library computers.

May 24th
So every day there is a new story more crazy than then the next.
This week we had zone conference so like 1/3 of the mission get to gather and we learn stuff all day. This one was extra special because we had Elder Arnold from the 70 teach the conference so it was really crazy intense. I had to say the opening prayer in front of 1/3 of the mission, the mission president his wife, a member of the 70 and his wife. But really it was no big deal at the same time. So he told us some stuff that we can do so that we can be better and get more baptisms. Elder Arnold was so powerful his spirt was intense and he yelled rather than talked (kinda like elder holland) for about 5 hours.
so now that it is nice outside ppl are always in there yard which makes it easier to talk to them but as we walk down the street they all run into there houses and try and hide from us ha ha. It does not work we chase them (in a nice way) and talk to them about the church its sweet. We where knocking on this one house and then the lady drives up in her car so we walked down to talk with her and she puts her cell phone up to her ear and starts "talking" but it didn't ring and her convo didn't make sense. Ha ha ... so she was faking it we waited for 5 min for her to to get of the phone then we made it look like we left by hiding behind a bush. She looked around to see if we were still there then got out of her car and ran into her house. We jumped out from behind the bush and talked with her. We don't let any one get away. ppl like to yell rude stuff at us from there cars when we are walking i write it down in my planer. But other than that most ppl like us.
When we street contact we meet crazy ppl I was talking to this weird old lady that was all hunched over and had on a cloak. I told her a bit about what we are doing as missionaries and a bit about the church and she told me that she didn't like church and that she belonged to the organized crime unit. Then she tried to burn me with her cigaret so we left her with a card and ran. Then this old guy in a electric wheelchair was passing us on the side walk so I started talking with him and he just gassed his wheelchair and took off so I ran after him and talked with him but after a block or so I just gave him a card. But all this craziness pays off one night Elder Grifiths told me to talk to this one couple that was walking by and they looked really weird and I was going to just let them go by but I stopped them and we had a really good talk about the church and then we went over and had a lesson at there house and they loved it and even came to church !!!!! I am so happy about them.
Now maybe I'll talk about are investigators.
the ones I just talked about are named Kristy and Adam. They have a 1 1/2 year old girl and seam very interested in the church so I am excited for them.
Then there is alex she is 17 and has came to church 3 times and I extended a baptism date and she said yes!! but she needs to over come smoking but we should be able to help her.
Then Melinda and Shaun they also have a baptism date that we extended this week.
Then the old guy from the old folks home that I gave a blessing. He wants to be baptized he just has to get healthy.
yesterday the APs called us and congratulated us on the hard work. We have 4 baptism dates coming up and thats more than any one else in the mission. Elder Grifiths and I are such a good team. I make really good friends with everyone and like play with there kids and then when we teach. Elder Griths knows all the materials really well then I bare testimony and tell ppl that they need to pray and read or there is no point in us coming over I kinda lay down the law and be straight up with ppl. When ppl don't do what I ask I get really sad and then they normally do it for next time.

Darren made it to Keene!
So when we spoke to Elder Gardner on Mothers day we found out he is in an area called Keene. And we now have his new mailing address!!!
Apt 60, 59 Maple Ave
Keene, New Hampshire
03431
The Guys at the MTC gave Darren a hard time because he was getting more dear elder mail than anyone else! So keep the mail rolling! Be sure to send Elder Gardner lots of mail!
Elder Gardner Told us that driving in Keene was very strange. He said there were very few stop signs and everyone had very good driving manors.
He told us he had stroganoff for dinner that night in a little house that was like the shack they warm up at when they go snowmobiling. It had a little stove in the middle of the room to heat the house. He said the people there are very friendly.
Monday was to be P day and they were going to be going on a hike with the only other two missionaries in their district.
Over all it sounded like he is having a great time! We hope that now he is out of the MTC we might get some longer emails and some pictures!
I will keep you posted!
